On a rainy Friday night, University of Cambridge professor Andrew Martin tackles the world's most difficult math problem. It can change the entire course of human history. But Professor Martin suddenly and without a trace disappears.
When, after a while, he is found... walking on the highway without any garment on his body, Professor Martin behaves a little strange. He seems different to his wife and son. To him, absolutely everything around him seems ridiculous, people worthy of pity, human life devoid of meaning. All those around him disgust him. Everyone except Newton. An old half-blind dog.
Can Debussy, David Bowie, Walt Whitman, and Emily Dickinson keep Andrew Martin from being forced into murder? Is there anything better to go with a glass of white wine than a peanut butter sandwich? And what strange feeling comes over him when he looks his wife in the eyes?
This witty, funny and sad at the same time book about how difficult it is to be human. And how amazingly great it is!
For the first time in Russian, the book was published in 2014 under the title "People and Me".
