When the Formula One circuit rolls into Blue Ridge, Virginia, for its inaugural Grand Prix in early September, the last thing Mia Whittaker expects is to catch the eye of the Italian superstar F1 driver…
Mia:
As the plus-sized, small-town owner of a family-run cabin community nestled in the mountains above town, I'm used to staying behind the scenes-until F1 superstar Luca Moretti walks through my door, looking for a place to stay with his sexy, swooping hair and that accent.
Holy buffaloes. That accent.
It's enough to make a girl swoon, you know, if I was the swoony type-which I'm not.
But when a freak rainstorm washes out the road back to town, trapping Luca and a bunch of other guests at the cabin retreat, Luca and I find ourselves firmly entangled-not only in town but also in my tiny personal quarters.
With only one bed to share, sparks ignite as Luca uncovers the truth beneath my reserved exterior: I'm not just an ordinary woman. I'm genuine, funny, and, as he says, utterly irresistible.
As we wait out the rainstorm, we navigate witty banter, small-town traditions, and a connection that grows stronger by the minute. But with the F1 season in full swing, threatening to pull him back to the thrill of the fast lane, I find myself wondering if our instant small-town romance can withstand the pressures of his racing world-or if our love is destined to skid off track before it can truly begin.
Trigger warnings: This short read romance is full of hot kissing, Italian accents, sharing a bed, racing hearts (and cars!), and body positivity from a plus-sized heroine. Read at your own pleasure!
