This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice. Catherine Whitlock has spent years trying to outrun the shadows of her childhood. After fleeing Auburn for Sacramento, she built a quiet life for herself and her eight‑year‑old son, Tommy-a bright, gentle boy whose innocence allows him to see the living, the dead, and the strange beings that drift between.
Back in Auburn, Catherine's mother, Dorothy, clings to her rigid Catholic faith, praying daily for the suffering souls trapped in Purgatory. She believes evil is everywhere. Catherine believes in nothing at all. Tommy believes in everything.
Their fragile balance shatters when Catherine receives a call from Gregory Prescott-the man she once loved, the man she hoped never to see again. He is sick. He is changing. And something dark has begun to move around him.
As Catherine returns home, old wounds reopen, old fears resurface, and Tommy begins to sense a presence that is neither ghost nor human. Dorothy warns that some souls burn, some wander, and some-once touched by darkness-never return.
Catherine has spent her life suppressing her gift. Tommy has never questioned his. But when the darkness notices them, both mother and son must face the truth:
Some souls can be saved. Some cannot. And some are claimed.
Shadowed Earth: The Boy of Light is a supernatural family drama about belief, inheritance, and the thin line between the living and the damned.
