Who grieves? According to Stephen and Ondrea Levine, we all do. Whether it manifests as self-judgment, as fear, as guilt, as anger and blame, everyone has grief. The Grief Process is an in-depth workshop with Stephen and Ondrea Levine that explores how anyone can resolve grief through meditation.
Working with a group of people caught in the wake of physical and emotional loss, the Levines explain how grief can lead to an armoring of the heart. They demonstrate a series of deeply felt exercises they developed over many years of work with meditation groups, hospice residents, and others that can help keep the heart open. Based on classic principles of awareness training, these techniques-including a special forgiveness meditation-offer an opportunity for true healing, even if you have been quietly grieving alone for years.
For those who are hurting from this injury of our age that leaves no scars, The Grief Process offers a rare gem from Stephen and Ondrea Levine's long career as meditation instructors, caregivers, and healers. Includes a 23-page study guide.
Stephen and Ondrea Levine are caregivers, teachers, and authors. Stephen Levine is the author of the bestselling spiritual classics, Healing into Life and Death; and Who Dies? Together they are the authors of Embracing the Beloved: Relationship as a Path of Awakening.
Stephen Levine
Stephen Levine (1937–2016) was a poet and teacher of guided meditation healing techniques who, with his wife Ondrea, counseled the dying and their loved ones for more than 30 years. Stephen Levine's bestselling books Healing into Life and Death, A Gradual Awakening, and A Year to Live are considered classics in the field of conscious living and dying. He is also the coauthor, with Ondrea, of the acclaimed To Love and Be Loved and Who Dies?
The Levines' work is said to stretch from the most painful experiences of the human spectrum to the furthest point on the human horizon, from hell to heaven, from pain to ease, from our ongoing sense of loss to the legacy of our unending interconnectedness. Their experiential Conscious Living/Conscious Dying workshops offered a meditative investigation of what it means to be fully alive, helping to cultivate the qualities which heal the mind and heart while exploring the nature of what it is that dies.
Ondrea Levine
