About
Tobin Vale thought he was hunting a payroll robber.
He soon discovers the trail leads to something far bigger-a fortune in government gold that vanished twenty-two years earlier and was never recovered.
When Vale catches up with outlaw Lafe Corbin, he finds Arden Mercer, a guard long believed dead, carrying half of an old map. The clues point toward the lonely reaches of San Pasqual Wash, where forgotten landmarks, buried secrets, and three merging shadows may reveal the location of $60,000 in lost gold.
But Vale and Mercer aren't the only ones searching.
Vance Recker has spent years hiding the truth behind the original robbery, and he is willing to kill again to keep the gold-and his crimes-from being uncovered.
With Corbin closing in and Recker pulling the strings, Tobin Vale must follow a trail written in blood before another man dies for a fortune that should have stayed buried.
THE SAN PASQUAL FLOAT is a fast-moving Western tale of lost gold, betrayal, gunfire, and one determined man's search for the truth.
