About
Hard hitting. Fast paced. High stakes. Welcome to the seventh instalment of the Black Force Shorts series from Matt Rogers, a million-copy bestseller and 'a bright new talent shaking up the genre' (Candice Fox).
Will Slater – one of the most violent and effective operatives in Black Force history – finds himself in California, drinking, partying and trying to forget about the horrific deeds he's performed for his country. Then one morning, a stranger kicks down his motel door.
Sent by Black Force, the man details Slater's newest assignment – head to Silicon Valley, locate a private VIP club, and befriend the Sinaloa cartel's chief interrogator, known only by his nickname: The Wicked.
What starts as a simple plan to extract information descends into anarchy as Slater struggles to maintain his cover under the influence of enough drink and drugs to kill lesser men.
Sometimes, it pays to have a tolerance. Matt Rogers is the internationally bestselling author of the Dante Jacoby series. Matt began self-publishing at the age of eighteen, and in the following eight years he single-handedly wrote and marketed more than thirty-five thriller novels. His books have collectively sold over one million copies. His stories weave stimulating philosophy with relentless, page-turning action, and he aims to educate and entertain in equal measure. As an ultramarathon runner and mountain trekker, Matt enjoys exploring the capabilities of the body and mind, lending experiential weight to his visceral writing.
