During an intense interrogation, Angela learned that she was found unconscious at the scene of a murder and was suspected as being somehow involved. Her psychiatrist and significant others who magically came into her life, all wanted her to accept that her amnesia would forever shroud her past and to start life over, fresh. "Like pruning a rose, the new growth will be even more beautiful," they argued convincingly in unison. She countered that it wasn't pieces of their lives being amputated and tossed into the compost bin.
