The trigger is not the problem.
The reaction is the signal.
The Triggered Wolf is the foundation of The Wolfpack Way, a practical framework for understanding behaviour through nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and human connection.
Why can a delayed reply feel like rejection? Why can a small disagreement trigger an enormous reaction? Why do intelligent, caring people sometimes shut down, explode, people-please, overwork, or lose control under pressure?
Because behaviour rarely begins with the behaviour itself.
In The Triggered Wolf, Jyee Byrne explores the patterns beneath our reactions and shows how past experiences, unmet needs, survival beliefs, identity, and nervous system activation can shape the way we respond to the present.
Through practical frameworks including the Behaviour Spiral, the Three Survival Beliefs, emotional regulation, repair, boundaries, presence leadership, and nervous system safety, this book provides a different way to understand yourself and the people around you.
You will explore how to:
• Recognise what your nervous system is trying to protect
• Understand the need beneath behaviour
• Interrupt reactive patterns before they become repeating cycles
• Build greater capacity for emotional regulation
• Repair relationships after difficult moments
• Create healthier boundaries without disconnecting
• Lead children, families, teams, and communities with greater presence
• Replace control and shame with curiosity, safety, and understanding
This is not about becoming emotionless or unshakable.
It is about becoming reconnectable.
Because behaviour makes sense when the nervous system does.
The Triggered Wolf is where The Wolfpack Way begins.
