The latest entry in the McCabe series. Johnny McCabe rides off to a cattle auction, and on the way has an encounter with an old enemy, and meets a legendary mountain man who is trying to protect two children who are being hunted. Meanwhile, Josh and Dusty and the men of the McCabe Ranch are conducting their spring roundup, and find themselves plunging head-first into a range war.
