A wretched man flees an opium house, but not before transforming into a twisted monster. A clockwork card-playing automaton is discovered cheating the gentry out of their inheritances. And Lady Li Mei, the widow of the late inventor of Alfred Nobel, has come to London to strike a bargain on behalf of a mysterious benefactor.
All these events are linked... but how? The game is afoot for the legendary duo of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson!
In this alternate history the British Empire is powered by steam and clockwork, with gorgeous art from Stevan Subic (The Riddler: Year One) and written by the acclaimed duo of Fred Duval and Jean-Pierre Pécau.
