About

Unnoticed by the general public, after the end of the Cold War a new East-West conflict developed - NATO versus Russia - which is now threatening to escalate. There are hardly any efforts by Western politicians to help defuse it, on the contrary. The conflict is deliberate, believes Wolfgang Bittner, and this is proven by many examples - some of which are more recent. According to the author, the North Atlantic Pact has long since lost its role as a defense alliance and appears today as an aggressor: NATO's eastward expansion, the war against Yugoslavia, anti-Russia propaganda, economic sanctions and the drastic increase in the military budget. The present work provides a chronology of events over more than a century, analyzes the background and shows how this disastrous development could come about.
