Boxing day, 2020. The whole of UK returns to a full lockdown due to the Covid 19 pandemic. For Dumfries couple Bob & Gail Carter this will be a lockdown like no other.
Following a freak bolt of lightning the Carter's are suddenly plunged into a bizarre set of circumstances and become the focus of the whole world.
Some months earlier, John Collins, ex Para and Special Forces soldier, is sent to provide close protection to a Chinese client in a London Hotel. He arrives at the clients hotel room just in time to disable an assassin who is leaving with a bag containing nothing but an odd black box and a card with a name and phone number.
Suddenly, Collins is the focus of a joint MI5, MI6 and CIA investigation. The name on the card was of a Russian operative that was meeting the client to buy the device.
Now, he is on the run from everyone. They all want the device and at any cost.
The stakes are high and John Collin's will be collateral damage as all sides race for possession of the device.
