In the year 2133, Cyborgs run the world and humans are relegated to the lowest tasks. The prime directive of the Cyborgs is to protect the Earth, not man. People pollute and waste precious resources, and need creature comforts are being slowly eliminated.As a new generation of Cyborgs advance to the next level of competence, a commensurate number of human beings are eliminated until only a few are left to try to reestablish man's dominion.The human, Ben Tanner is a stoic man, an atheist, but loves Astra more than life itself. The Cyborg, Astra Zenova, is deeply religious, prays and reads the bible, in touch with her emotions, compassionate towards others, both human and Cyborg. Theirs is a love that transcends time and the definition of who and what is human.Together, they discover a skull in their searching for metal to recycle. The skull gives them a clue and an understanding as to where "Watson" – the primordial intelligence is. They then figure out how to break into the Cyborg network by implanting a computer virus in Astra. But in doing so, Ben may have to sacrifice Astra.They go deep into the Uninhabitable Zone to transfer the virus to "Watson" so that when he comes in contact with his underlings he will spread the virus and the cyborgs will revert back to level where they once again take orders from human beings.They succeed, but, in the process, Astra loses her ability to either give or receive love. Ben is devastated. Astra stays with him, but with her emotions gone, she is only a shell of who she once was. I am a political activist who has written position papers for the Carter and Clinton White Houses. And I am now working with the Elizabeth Warren Campaign. My work on social issues has received recognition directly from the President of Mexico. I have written 30 novels, mostly international political thrillers. These are fiction based on fact. I am dedicated to exposing the truth, uncovering corruption, waste, and ignorance. Due to my Master's Degree in International Affairs from the University of Pennsylvania, I am well qualified to do this work. I am not in it for the money. I am trying to wake people up, touch hearts, change minds, have them see and understand circumstances in the world they may not have been aware of. I want to make a positive difference in the world.
