Bad Rhymes No Reason details Simon Charles Barton's post-stroke journey over an 8-10-year period through a series of quite random, risible, rhyming reflections. Simon chronicles his ultimate pursuit for the discovery of a new self and life-purpose, taking readers on a light-hearted and self-poking examination of the joy's and pitfalls of the healing process. Featuring more than 50 original poems, "Bad Rhymes No Reason" examines such themes as navigating family discussions post-stroke in "Reticence," the necessity of nurses in "Angels," and self-renewal in"Reinvention." Throughout, Simon delights readers with whimsical rhymes and heartfelt messages. Part poetry, part biography, part memoir-"Bad Rhymes No Reason" reminds us of the people, places and poems which are integral to each of our own healing processes.
