LIFE ON THE ISLAND OF PAGE ONE IS NEARLY PERFECT... AS LONG AS NO ONE LOOKS DEEPER. Seventeen-year-old Ballad is a Light Follower and visionary living on Page One-a nearly Utopian settlement in the middle of no-one-knows-where-or-when. But behind its near perfection lies a sinister history. And if any of the original Pioneers remember it-or why they fled the Other Side through a mystical Keyhole in the Sky-almost everyone is afraid to say. Ballad has always been so obsessed with solving the mystery that as a child, he and his best friend, Nic, made a secret pact to take a Quest when they turned eighteen. With the time almost in sight, his conviction is stronger than ever that he and his friends must travel through that same portal to find answers to protect their settlement. But tragedy forces Ballad to make an inconceivable choice: Abandon the Quest and risk leaving everyone he knows and loves in danger, or abandon his fourteen-year-old sister with whom he has an unbreakable bond. And the two choices are literally worlds apart. To make the right one, Ballad must learn to trust his visions and his close circle of friends. Only then can he truly step into his role as the Light Follower. PARANORMAL ADVENTURE MEETS PORTAL FANTASY IN THIS THRILLING COMING-OF-AGE NOVEL.
