Build a Healthy, Supportive Relationship with Your Loved One Living With BPD How would you feel if you couldn't think beyond black-and-white thinking? What if your sense of self depends on what you believe others want from you? What if you struggled with relating to things in the present because the past is rooted there? What if your future is too overwhelming to think about? What if you didn't trust yourself to be alone because you weren't sure you were safe with yourself? If you can understand any of these, you might have a small idea of what it's like to live with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). BPD is a misunderstood and often misdiagnosed condition, and for those who love a person with BPD, it can be truly heartbreaking. This book isn't just to shatter the common misconceptions about BPD but to give friends, or family members hope that it can be manageable with the right guidance. In this book, we'll focus ● Understanding BPD from signs/symptoms to diagnosis ● Knowing the difference between BPD and other personality disorders ● Treatment plans, including how loved ones can play a role ● Suggestions for supporters who love someone with BPD ● What loved ones with BPD want us to know ● Tips on helping the person with BPD with forward-thinking ● How can we best advocate for those with BPD If you've chosen this book, you already know from experience how Borderline Personality Disorder looks and feels. We're here to help you understand the condition at a deeper level, see it through the eyes of the sufferer, and help you to help them in the most loving and empowering way. The most important thing we hope you'll take away with you is that, as scary as things may seem right now, it won't always be that way. BPD is only a small part of who your loved one is, and they should never feel defined by it. And we'll show you how to guide them to that mindset.
