Detective Jax Ferris is back in Fort Worth-and the city hasn't slept easy since. Haunted by the brutal loss of his mentors and friends, Jax now serves on a joint FBI task force with one purpose: hunt down witches, berserkers, and creatures that prey on humanity. Armed with mystic gauntlets and fueled by revenge, Jax isn't just enforcing the law-he's executing it. When a deadly berserker kingpin surfaces in the city's club scene, Jax steps into the night knowing only one of them will walk out alive.
But the kill is only the beginning. A far greater enemy is moving in the shadows: Debro, the ruthless High Priestess of the Order of Light. As portals open and supernatural armies mobilize, Fort Worth becomes ground zero for an otherworldly war. With time running out and blood already spilled, Jax must decide how far he's willing to go-and how much of his soul he's willing to lose-to stop what's coming.
