On February 1, 2021, Myanmar's fragile democracy was extinguished. Civil war raged. As institutions abandoned the country and the world looked away, one American business leader chose to stay.
Finding Our Voice tells how an American business community, led by former US Marine officer and conflict expert Adam Castillo, endured the fire of crisis. It charts Castillo's path from an unemployed veteran to an entrepreneur leading a forgotten people in a country at war, until his work propelled him from the chaos of Myanmar to a high-stakes meeting in the White House.
A leadership memoir unlike any other, Finding Our Voice is set in the aftermath of Myanmar's collapse. Framed through twelve speeches delivered across Yangon in darkness and uncertainty, it is simultaneously a personal journey of spiritual awakening, a memoir of survival, and a story about leading with courage when your world falls apart.
