Ever wonder what kind of person runs toward gunfire instead of retreating from it? John Chapman was that man, saving 5 men on a desolate mountaintop in Afghanistan, then dying to protect 18 others. He lived his life the way he died: on his terms and in service of others. Readers will find stories within that could describe their own upbringing: jokes, heartache, tenacity, triumph. From childhood to badass warrior, John inspired others to try a little harder, reach a little higher, and leave the world a little better, without taking crap from anyone. Let him inspire you, too.
