Wedding bells are about to ring for Jessie Witthun and Charlie Cameron, but their summer in Toronto is about to heat up, and not in a good way! Irena Kovács, the snooty receptionist at Jessie's favourite salon, pulls DC Investigations into a dangerous mystery with its roots in the hotbed of European politics. A sexy and enigmatic stranger with impossible biceps and a talent for showing up where he wasn't invited moves in downstairs. In a dark twist, the circus comes to town, but it quickly becomes the deadliest show on Earth for Jessie and Charlie. And, on top of everything else that might derail her wedding day, Jessie's sister Jeanie returns with a shocking announcement. From Hanover to Toronto to Niagara Falls, Jessie is up against homicidal Hungarians, a stray lion, and now her new nemesis--none other than Rocco Perri, Joe Notto's successor and the self-proclaimed King of the Bootleggers. Jeepers! How much mayhem does a girl have to go through to get married? If you're Jessie Witthun--a lot!
