Senior animals are often overlooked in crowded shelters. Many families want to adopt young pets, but the loyalty and love from a senior can't be compared to anything else. This book tells the true story of Glady, a 16-year-old poodle who was rescued from a shelter in Canada.
Readers will learn how to help animals in need, what life is like for an unwanted shelter pet, and how senior and disabled animals are more capable than one might think. Good Girl Glady also teaches about the loss of a beloved pet in a realistic and comforting way. Glady's optimistic attitude, despite her many hardships, will inspire young readers to look on the bright side and find joy in the people and places around them.
