When investigative journalist Hannah Marchand is assigned a story at a remote archaeological site, she's less than thrilled. It won't garner her the coveted front page, but at least she'll get out of town and away from the ex-boyfriend who's stalking her. It's taken him five long years to rebuild his reputation and be entrusted with running another excavation. He's determined to let nothing stand in the way of restoring his professional credentials, especially not a nosy reporter. Despite the handsome archaeologist's animosity, unbridled attraction flares. But unsettling events make Hannah suspect her stalker has followed her, determined to seek revenge. As their feelings deepen, she and Roman must learn to trust each other if they hope to survive the man who's hunting her.
