About

Genesis 1; v2 tells us only that Earth had existed, and was made waste by a flood, and was dark.

Some commentaries put this in the time of Lucifers fall and being cast to earth. Whereupon God cursed the earth, to end his reign there. It is after this, Genesis 1 v3 picks up the story of restoration of the earth, and the creation of living beings, which would culminate in the creation of man.

Man was not only the joy of His creation, but also the source of His disappointment. The Fall, was the beginning of a descending status of man's relation to God. God, in His mercy made plans for our return to His favor. The Line of Promise recounts the Biblical account of the ancestors of Jesus, and how God kept that line from infringement by Satan. This is the story of infinite love and forgiveness that Jehovah showered on His people.

The object of this endeavor is to tell the story outside of a Historical, old English structure. The poetry is short, to the point and seasoned with, Down on the farm simplicity and earthy phrases.
