The last twenty yards before the goal-in football that's the Red Zone, the place where the team with the ball is so close to the goal that they have a good chance to score. During a spiritual journey, being in the Red Zone means God has already drawn an individual down life's field to a place where he's ready to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus. Using dramatic stories (his own and others), Kent Tucker shows Christians how to identify someone who wants to hear about Jesus. Then, Tucker equips believers with what to say to help him enter into a personal relationship with Jesus and follow up afterward. "Biblical Coaching Sessions," throughout the book, show how Red Zone Evangelism (RZE) is an age-old game plan first used by Jesus, then Paul and others. Quotes from legendary coaches and players (Joe Gibbs, John Wooden, Tim Tebow, and others) keep the book dynamic and make the concepts easy to understand. Insights from spiritual leaders (Rebecca Pippert, Lee Strobel, Bill Hybels and more) heighten the action for these RZE strategies. Step-by-step In the Red Zone generates a sense of urgency and builds the confidence of readers to share their faith in an effective way that will produce eternal rewards. Discussion questions at the end of each chapter, by creative outreach strategist Garry Poole, make this book a powerful resource for pastors and small group leaders, as well as for personal reflection.
