If you're looking for Alison Hunter, you can catch her most nights at The Venue, a Nashville club hosting acts from Bon Iver to Death Cab. Sounds glamorous, but not for Al, who's working the door with a boy with mysterious eyes, bumming drinks and worse from the tattooed bartender, and wondering if she'll ever make it as a songwriter.
