Imagine a world where Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X never existed. In this universe skin color determines your influence and your children's very survival.
In this world Kimberly Solberg, a Valley Girl and recent high school graduate wants happiness with a guy that doesn't care she is interracial and one where the honorable Minister Kublai Khan dreams his people can live without prejudice and domination. Kim goes to Juarez to find her roots and the minister goes to the nation's capital to fight for justice. Their lives intertwine in Los Angeles where they battle the racist murdering white supremacist Pastor Tucker Dalton for the lives of their mixed-race children. Mixed Blessings is contemporary fiction and can be easily considered a genre-busting women's thriller about how race and skin color isn't a key factor building and growing strong relationships.
