"I'm so excited to have this book on my desk-to flip through for visual inspiration (as a collector of pretty, everyday things myself, it's always a treat to peek into someone else's treasures, and Marian's collection is especially lovely) and to return to when I need to remember that there is such joy in slowing down, taking a deep breath, and creating simply for the joy of it."

-Myquillyn Smith, New York Times bestselling author of House Rules
"The world is collectively yearning to return to a more analog era, yet many of us aren't sure how to get there. Every aspect of our lives shows signs of needing less consumption, a refilling of our souls, and a renewed outpouring of creativity. I think Marian's words will resonate with many: 'The problem is, I had been working at such a frantic pace for so many years that I wasn't really sure how to rest. It felt uncomfortable and like a waste of precious time that should be used more productively.' Marian speaks with such encouragement, reminding us that creativity is a worthwhile, lifelong pursuit. Say yes to her invitation. Don't wait for perfect conditions to begin creative habits that can shape your day-to-day rhythms. There is just one thing you need to do to start-make room."
