Planet Isumus is the original short story from which the Isumus series grew. It is presented here as it was first written, before the Alverton family, the wider world and the characters of the novels took their final shape, so some names and details differ from the published books. Soldier Cassey Night is sent to earth from planet Isumus on a reconnaissance voyage, while on earth she meets Mark, a rural farmer, they fall for each other and decides to return to Earth after her mission is completed. Major Helen King the Isumian head of security and highest ranking member of the G.E.M-discovers she is AWOL and deploys a group of mercenaries a force she uses in secret as deniable muscle. With both their lives in grave danger. Together both Cassey and Mark must fight off, this intergalactic force.
