Postcards from HOME: Close at Heart. Miles Apart. is a heartfelt and inspiring exploration of connection, motherhood, resilience, and the enduring power of small acts of love in a disconnected world.
When her children leave home for college, Sandra Tarkleson faces the bittersweet transition every parent eventually encounters: how do you stay close without holding on too tightly? Her answer begins with something simple-a handwritten postcard.
What starts as a quiet daily ritual soon becomes far more than a form of communication. Through seasons of change, divorce, distance, and personal growth, Sandra discovers that intentional acts of love can create emotional anchors strong enough to travel across any number of miles. Each postcard becomes a reminder that connection is not built through grand gestures, but through consistent presence, encouragement, and care.
Blending deeply personal storytelling with reflections on emotional well-being, intentional living, and the lost art of handwritten communication, Postcards from H♥ME offers readers both comfort and inspiration in a fast-moving digital age.
This book speaks to:
• Parents navigating transition and letting go
• Families seeking deeper connection
• Readers longing for more meaningful communication
• Anyone searching for hope, presence, and emotional closeness in today's distracted world
•
At once intimate and universal, Postcards from H♥ME reminds us that love does not disappear with distance-it simply learns how to travel differently.
Tender, uplifting, and deeply human, this is more than a story about postcards.
It is a reminder that small acts of love can change lives.
