About
"This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him." Psalm 91:2 (NLT)
Adeline Finch was running away from a nightmare. Witnessing her own mother's murder by the ruthless Otis Campbell, Adeline knows Otis will stop at nothing to seek his revenge and silence her once and for all. The unbelievable set of circumstances surrounding the tragedy of her mother's death has sent Adeline's life into turmoil; her faith has plummeted, and she is wrestling with grief, fear, and regret.
Divine intervention has brought Josiah Armstrong into the midst of Adeline's storm. With the help of his loyal dog, Whisper, Josiah finds Adeline one fateful evening on his property in Montana Territory. Josiah can relate to Adeline's loss, as the memory of his deceased wife and daughter plagues his thoughts and weighs heavily in his heart.
Initially turning away from her faith, Josiah helps Adeline renew her trust and assurance in God. Putting her dependence on the Lord has led Adeline to rely on the earthly protection of Josiah. Their love for one another blossoms as they both find healing in their circumstances. However, secrets emerge along the way, as Adeline reveals pertinent details about her mother's death that she'd soon rather forget.
A story of God's protection and provision and trusting Him in our troubles, Refuge will leave you thinking about God's everlasting promises and how He works everything for our good and for His glory.
