A flexed muscle. A finish line. A trophy on a shelf. We're taught to recognize strength by what we can see-and so when it disappears from view, we assume it's gone. Ask anyone living with chronic, invisible pain what the hardest part is, and most won't say the pain itself. They'll say being disbelieved. Being told it's "all in your head." Not everything goes as planned, especially when you've been hit by a car.
Robin Dean Robb was an athlete, a straight-A student, and a pastor's daughter with her whole life planned out-until a hit-and-run driver swept her off her feet on the way to school. What followed wasn't a quick recovery.
It was years of unanswered questions, feelings of paralysis, ineffective treatments, and a rolling backpack that simultaneously became a symbol of everything she'd lost and a hope of a life yet to come.
Written in a lovable style-the type that makes you feel included in a private joke-Rerouted is the true story of what happens when faith outlasts diagnosis. Robin takes readers from the moment of impact through years of chronic pain, a hard-won fibromyalgia diagnosis, and the unlikely friendship with a gym trainer who refused to let her stay broken.
This is not a story about being healed. It's a story about being held by family, friends, and a God who never let go, even when she did. Buckle Up!
Beware, miracles appear in this book. Prepare to be reminded that strength isn't always something you can see, but it's always something you can achieve. Not somehow, but triumphantly.
