Rice Solutions is a very accessible guide for Europeans and North Americans coming to the Gulf Region for work. The author, Edward Brown, has had many years experience working in and with Gulf Arab businesses, and currently runs a family-owned Arab business there.
His insights, experiences and guide to best practice, written in his convivial and easy-to-digest style, is hugely informative about both Arab history and culture as well as the regional business etiquette. Many have tried and failed to successfully do business in the Gulf Region, but with Brown's guidance you can prepare yourself and proceed with more confidence towards a sustainably profitable time there.
With testimonials from ambassadors and generals and academics, both European and Arabic, this book will repay the few hours it takes to read over a lifetime.
