From schlepping guitars for Led Zeppelin to smoothing out last-minute chaos for Frank Sinatra, Road Boss is the wild, behind-the-scenes memoir of Marty Kramer- the ultimate fixer. In this behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of live entertainment, Kramer pulls back the curtain on a life spent in the fast lane. For decades, Kramer was the guy everyone called when things got complicated. Tour manager, production boss, body man- whatever the title, his job was simple: make it happen. He worked with legends like Ringo Starr, Roy Orbison, Tina Turner, Neil Young, and President Bill Clinton to build a reputation as the man who could solve any problem, no matter how strange or last-minute. Kramer' s voice is candid, wry, and packed with hard-earned wisdom. From a childhood in Winnipeg to international tours and unexpected friendships (yes, even with Bob Dylan), his journey reads like a love letter to the people who keep the show on the road. Co-written with David Wolinsky and featuring a foreword by bestselling author Michael Posner, Road Boss is a backstage pass to decades of music history and the unforgettable mensch who made it all happen.
