Supernatural comedy capturing the feel of, and nostalgia for, the 1990s, while looking forward to a world where everyone can share a laugh and even the dead are enjoying life...
Springtime, 1994. Grunge. The Kremlin Accords. Cool Britannia is on the way! For Gary Stone, Rookstone Castle is just another lucrative restoration project, and a welcome one, until its owner shows him a sixty-year-old photograph of his own brand-new van.
Unsettled, he gets to work, but is soon terrorised at 02:17 each morning by an ancient spirit with an urgent message. Failing to understand her warning, his team become unwitting accessories to a jewel heist when the castle is robbed.
Besieged by the police and the media outside, hostage to dangerous criminals inside, the working-class hero must confront the not-so-working-class villain, whether he wants to or not. Trapped in a castle full of ghosts with a psychopath and a disobedient little dog, Gary also finds himself responsible for the actions of a bunch of hangry builders who are running out of sandwiches. Honestly, he can't see how things could possibly get any worse - which only illustrates the limits of his imagination.
