About
As a medical examiner who specializes in magic toxicology at Seattle's main trauma hospital, Kellem's life revolves around magic and death.
Frustrated and burnt out by the hopeless nature of his work, and demeaned and controlled by his family, Kellem wants to use his magic for some sort of good. Except- Kellem's magic archetype is the most depraved form of inherent magic, necromancy.
After a woman is found dead near his home in Everett and bodies start arriving at the hospital with the same cause of death, Kellem defies his promise to not use necromancy, only to discover that the victims' souls are missing. While uncovering what happened to the souls, he inadvertently attracts the attention of both The Order of Paladins, spearheaded by his brother, Enric, and the killer.
For fans of the urban fantasy mystery series The Dresden Files who are looking for authentic queer, neurodivergent, and mental health representation. Shadow Cursed is a novella about the gruesome power that biases have on our perception of evil.
