Julia Melrose has a secret addiction-and it isn't the kind that comes in a bottle. She escapes into daytime television, losing herself in the glamorous lives of people who seem to have everything she does not.
But Julia didn't always live her life through the characters in her beloved soaps.
Once young, hopeful, and deeply in love, she believed her future held nothing but possibility. Then life took an unexpected turn, and the choices that followed carried her down a path far from the one she had imagined.
Divorced and raising two children, Julia finds comfort in the world of daytime drama, where passion, romance, and second chances seem far easier to come by than in real life. Yet beneath the routines of her everyday existence, something long buried begins to stir-memories of a dream she abandoned, and a love she never quite let go.
As the past presses in, Julia must decide whether to remain in the life she has built or find the courage to pursue the life she was always meant to live.
Soap Opera Digest is a heartfelt story of love, loss, hope, and the enduring power of dreams that refuse to fade.
