About
Mikey Gross is not your average kid. Overshadowed by his father, the high school band director, and cursed with clunky glasses and a flair for the bizarre, he's used to feeling out of place. But when Mikey's offbeat world collides with a sinister, otherworldly force, everything changes-fast. Come along on a zany journey to the dream realm where Mikey is thrust into an adventure far beyond anything he's ever imagined. As a powerful energy is discovered, Mikey and his father, Bob, are caught in a whirlwind of danger, humor, and chaos. He is joined by a mechanical snowman, a talking penguin, and a hacker girl who all help to defeat the evil plot and free his friends. He also must find out who the real villain is and why she wants to harm the band kids. Can Mikey's off-kilter imagination and his unlikely group of allies unravel the mysteries before it's too late? Or will they be trapped forever in a dangerous battle between realms? With danger mounting and secrets unraveling, one thing becomes clear-this is a story where music, mystery, and friendship intertwine, and the fate of worlds may rest in the hands of an awkward boy with a magic backpack and an oboe. One question lingers: What is coming to our world from the dimension they've discovered?
