"When the Fair Folk asked me to come away, the answer was not yes or no, but how and when."

Dorcas is soon startled by the existence of Elphame as well as the Seelie: a secret clan of fair folk living in a realm co-existing with the village.
But why would the fair folk be interested in ordinary foragers like Dorcas?
