Minutes later, the database shows ten.
Samuel Reddick is gone.

A smoke alarm changes access rules. A federal liaison team arrives with current credentials and legitimate-looking authority. Records specialist Nancy Bell knows which parts of the building still remember things the computers don't. Security officer Aaron Pike knows the men hunting the document have badges that actually validate.
Nobody has to hack the building.
The building is doing exactly what it has been told.
As the annex locks down and the hunt turns violent, Dave and his unlikely allies create six versions of the evidence and send them through six different chains. Only one is the original.
