"The Terminator" meets "Pet Sematary" meets "Carrie" in this terrifying first installment of a duology inspired by the slasher films of the 1980s.
Ever since his mother's death a year ago and his father's slow descent into alcoholism, Adam's life has been in freefall. Haunted by grief and rage, he sees no way out-until an old friend invites him to a party. Eager to escape, Adam accepts.
For one night, it feels like things might finally be looking up . . . until something goes horribly wrong. An unimaginable horror arrives, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake-and one burning question in Adam's mind: What really happened that night one year ago?
Now hunted and afraid, Adam must team up with a group of unlikely allies to confront not only the sadistic force stalking them but also their own personal demons, in order to uncover the conspiracy that may hold the key to their survival.
