Katherine Parker has spent her life following all the rules. As the eldest daughter and eternal people-pleaser, Kat has often wondered if she's living the life she wants or the one expected of her. Kat prefers to blend in rather than get any attention. As it turns out, some people do notice her.
Ethan Moore lives down the hall and rarely worries about such nonsense. Ethan is unapologetically himself. Can Ethan help Kat live life on her terms? Or will unexpected events and loss lead her to lose herself completely?
This friends-to-lovers story explores the complexities of finding yourself when others have different expectations for you. The Unassuming is a story of friendship, love, grief, and finding yourself through it all.
