About
Within these pages are personal stories of World War II veterans, most of which have never been heard before. Long silent on their service, author Jeffrey Meek has gotten them to open up, share their experiences, and in many cases come to terms with what they did and what they saw.
With memories long buried for many years, these 75 veterans have finally shared their story so Americans can learn details of the war and keep the memory of their service alive for generations to come.
World War II veterans are dying off at an alarming rate and along with them their remembrances of the events in which they participated. This book captures 75 unique veteran experiences that will now be recorded for future historians and researchers.
