The journey has undergone many changes, with issues such as racism, religion, politics, war, and climate change leaving a harrowing impact on the world. It has been a fascinating learning curve, although, it has not always involved the necessary acknowledgment of past mistakes or the imperative nature of learning from them.
Whilst the breadth of lived experiences has included countless moments of joy, the longstanding impression of personal pain, disappointment and persistent losses attributed to senseless acts have left their mark, to the point of becoming integral to life as we know it.
Throughout her life, Beverley has drawn on the experiences of individuals she's encountered, both personally and professionally. The book acts as a living legacy, not only her accomplishments, but the lessons learned and the challenges faced, as well as the sense of contentment she has fought so hard to attain amidst life's difficulties.
