About
Time and Chance: Elite Edition by Rupen O. Adhikari is a thoughtful spiritual and philosophical exploration of luck, fate, work, and human effort through the lens of the world's sacred texts, with the Bhagavad Gita at the center.
This book challenges the modern belief that success is only the result of hard work, while also rejecting the idea that fate excuses inaction. Drawing from the Bhagavad Gita, Ecclesiastes, the Bible, the Quran, Jewish teachings, Sikh wisdom, Buddhist thought, and the Mahabharata, the author examines how ancient traditions understood the balance between effort and forces beyond human control.
With poetic, reflective prose, Time and Chance speaks to both the successful and the struggling. It reminds readers that work matters, but outcomes are never fully ours to command. The book invites readers to act with discipline, remain humble in success, compassionate in failure, and spiritually grounded in uncertainty.
At its heart, this book offers a timeless message: do your duty, release your grip on the fruit, recognize grace and circumstance, and stand up anyway.
