Sadie finds what she's looking for in Colchester, Vermont. With her young daughter Avery and their pup Maddie, the three relocate to the shores of Malletts Bay, a part of Lake Champlain and just north of Burlington.
Unfortunately, even her best efforts to forget what happened begin to fail in their new life, and Sadie must come to accept that the choices she has made in her past are just like the weather: they have unpredictable outcomes. And, those unpredictable outcomes will impact who she is at her core and everyone she is closest to.
