Experience one little boy's remarkable journey of survival, self-discovery, and spiritual growth, from his tumultuous childhood in Mexico to a successful life in the United States. Growing up, Luis's family moved from place to place, never staying long enough to establish friends or be a part of a community. From the colorful fruit and vegetable fields on the coast of Nayarit to the cottonwood fields of the northern Mexican states of Sinaloa, Sonora and Baja, little Luis never knew where he belonged. Lacking self-identity, he struck out on his own at the age of fourteen. He faced difficult decisions to support himself, but along the way, he found God, and his eyes were opened to the possibility of greatness. In Vicissitudes, author Joe Boulder recounts Luis's rise from humble beginnings to success with God's help through a collection of short stories. Having experienced a journey of spiritual growth, he now holds the answers to some of life's greatest questions and offers readers a better understanding of God. Boulder's inspiring memoir will speak to both believers and the spiritually curious.
