Jaylen gets addicted to a video game Jess gives him for his birthday. This delightful set of beginning chapter books tells about the adventures of Jess and Jaylen. These two big-city neighbors have been friends since they were born, and now they're in third grade. Illustrated with funny, slightly cartoony art, these lighthearted, humorous stories are full of real-life challenges faced by sporty Jess and brainy Jaylen. Additional features to aid comprehension include a table of contents, a section for discussion about the book's plot and topic, and an introduction to the author and illustrator.
