The average citizen in the United States has little or no contact with the legal system on a personal level. Many hear from family and friends of their knowledge and perhaps their involvement with the court and their opinions of the success or failure of the system. Few writers are trial lawyers who have worked within the system and know the strengths and weaknesses of the human component operating the system. Far fewer lawyers venture to pull the curtain back on the corruption which occurs in the legal system for fear of actual retaliation by the courts against them and the members of their firms. What did it take for the writer of this memoir to power up the personal courage, determination and selflessness to call out the corruption before the Judiciary Committee of the New Jersey State Senate on March 18,1993? It took formative years of developing a fearlessness in the face of danger and a sense of honor and duty. The writer who was a member of the military took an oath to uphold the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic and later as a lawyer took an oath to uphold the constitution and laws as an officer of the court. It was his sworn duty to expose the corruption in the court system in the hopes of removing those who breached their solemn duty to God, country and the people while serving in the judiciary making daily decisions affecting the freedom, the families and the fortunes of those who come before them. This is a true story of one who served God, his country and its' people by testifying in opposition to the reappointment for judicial tenure of one of the most unfit and corrupt judges on the bench and lived to experience the unspoken threat of retaliation for over thirty years.
