Abner, a young clown, does not like his name. It's not as flashy as other clown names, like Zany or Fizzy or Chuckles or Cricket. Having such an awkward name makes him feel sad, until the other clowns come together to throw a party called "Abner Day" to show him they love him for being himself, and that they would all be proud to be called Abner.
Written in rhyme by performer/puppeteer Jeffrey Breslauer, with full-color illustrations by Linda Campbell, Abner the Clown is a heartwarming story of friendship and acceptance, including acceptance of self, for young children.
