Meagan Phillips, who believes she is destined to be single the rest of her life, is drawn out of her comfort zone. A new job assignment takes her to an island off the coast of South Carolina. There she finds herself enjoying things that in the past she never cared for: sun, sand, water, and being outdoors. Ryan Richardson is Meagan's new boss as well. All these years Doctor Richardson has tried to ignore his pain. Instead of helping his girls through their loss, he has stopped them from grieving all together.
The suffering is apparent in all of them.
